  1. The 5th Annual Black History Month Poster Contest runs this month through March 8. Posters entered into the contest should be an original design 18 x 24 inches in size and represent a message about African-American history, diversity, and/or embracing our differences. The winner of the contest will receive a $50 gift card for art supplies at Plaza Art in Kenwood and have their poster framed and put on permanent display in the high school. For more details, see Mrs. Colpi. 
  2. Have you ever wanted to be on The Amazing Race? Or wanted to race around Cincinnati with your friends? Well, here is your chance! Come join Unified 4 Unifat in Cincinnati’s first Amazing Race. You will be competing against other teams from around the city in challenges that will both raise awareness and your knowledge of the average life of a Unifat student. For only $25 per person (4 Person Limit) you will receive U4U shirt, admission to a city wide mixer, five service hours, and you will be guaranteed loads of fun! Registration forms will be outside of Mrs. Leatherwood’s door. Register by Feb. 15th! Return the registration forms to Ashley Dockery or Maud Schram. The Amazing Race is March 17th beginning at Moeller High School. 
  3. CERTIFIED LIFE GUARDS NEEDED – The Fairfax Swim Club is hiring lifeguards for the summer of 2012. You must be 15 years and older and have your American Red Cross life guard certification and CPR training. To sign up for classes go to americanredcross.org for further information. If you are interested in working for the Fairfax pool please call Scott and Tracy for an interview at 561-8017. 
  4. Please join us for a pre-screening of “Annie”, the high school musical this year, at the Mariemont Theater on Saturday, February 18th at 10:00 am starring Carol Burnett & Tim Curry. Concessions will be open (popcorn, the breakfast of champs!). $5 admission fee to benefit the Mariemont Fine Arts & FAB. 
  5. Mr. Goetz’s classes should report to study hall today – 5th bell class should report to 1st bell lunch and then to study hall with Mr. Miller.
