1. The Mattress Sale Fund Raiser is November 5th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the high school. There will be a volunteer sign-up on October 31st right after school in the commons. Students can also earn money for referrals which result in a mattress purchase. The incentives range from $25 for 1 referral up to $200 for 5 referrals.

2. There will be a Leadership Council Meeting Tuesday, November 1st, after school in C20.

3. A representative from Wilberforce University will be visiting today at 1:00. On Tuesday The College of Mount St. Joseph will be here at 10:30 and on Wednesday a representative from the Marine Corps will be here at 10:30.

4. Spanish Club members are invited to our social event this Tuesday, November 1st at Don Pablo’s in Rookwood. Please sign up in the Spanish Room if interested in attending. The dinner is at 6:30 p.m.

5. Attention Key Club Members: Volunteers are needed to serve as ushers and serve refreshments at the NHS induction on Thursday night from 6:30-9:30. Please see Mrs. Bell to volunteer. Also, there will be a Key Club Meeting after school on Wednesday to organize the canned food drive.

6. The Mariemont Latin Club competed at the Summit Certamen this Saturday. All three levels performed well particularly the sophomore team of Evan Doran, Sarah Blatt and Dylan Battison. Mariemont took 2nd place in the 15 team field, finishing behind only host Summit Country Day.

7. It’s a great day to be a Warrior. The Boys Varsity Cross Country team took care of business and finished in 1st place at the Division III Regional Championships at Troy. It is a first Regional title for Mariemont High School. Leading the way for the Warriors was Nathan Kuck. Nathan, finished in a personal best time and along with Emmett Saulnier and Ben Gorman were awarded All Regional honors for their top 16 finish. Finishing out the State qualifying team were Bryan Routt, “The Young Freshman” Cooper Hayes, Luke Porst and Connor McManus. The boys will not go alone as Freshman Juliana Overbey finished in 14th place for her State qualifying run. The girls finished 7th in the Region as the best finish in the last 7 years. The runners/coaches and parents want to thank the Warrior Nation for all your cheers and enthusiasm. We’d like a repeat of that at State. The State invitational is at the National Trail Raceway in Hebron, just east of Columbus. The times for the races stay the same, girls at 11:00 am and the boys at 1:30. See infor for the Spirit Bus in the front office sometime this week. We hope to see you there!

8. There is no wrestling weight lifting tonight.

9. Students that would like to take a spirit bus to Saturday’s State Cross Couontry Meet should sign up on the sheet on the front counter before Friday.

10. Please contact Olivia Saulnier or Rachel Nelson sometime today if you are interested in buying a long sleeve spirit shirt to support the State bound Cross Country Team If you do not contact them today, you will not get a shirt.

12. There is a Sophmore and Junior Football meeting in the Health Room today at 3:00.

13. The Fiber Arts class is in need of old electric skillets that still work. Students will be using them to melt wax for batiks. It doesn’t matter if the skillets are scratched or dented as long as the heating element works. If you can help us out, please drop the electric skillets off at the office or Mrs. Lair’s room.

14. The library will be closed 1st lunch today.

15. There will be a Student Council meeting in Mr. Hanley’s room on Wednesday at 7:15 am.
