1. ChooseOhioFirst.org is holding a competition to redesign their web site. The winners of the best design will receive scholarships for college. If you are interested in participating in this competition for some potential scholarship money, please come to an information meeting in Mr. Becksfort’s room today immediately after school.

2. There will be an AFS meeting next Wednesday at the Rookwood Don Pablos at 6:30 p.m.

3. There will be a Leadership Council Meeting after school in C-20 on Tuesday, January 24th.

4. MHS has a unique opportunity to host high school girls from Hapur, India for three weeks this April 2012. With our friends from Madeira High School, we are currently looking for Sophomore, Junior and Senior girls who would be willing to host these girls from India in their homes during their stay in Mariemont. Our world is growing more and more connected and hosting a student is a great way to meet people from around the world and learn first-hand our commonalities while also respecting our diversity. If you would like to learn more about this opportunity or are interested in hosting a student, please let Mr. Renner know by January 30th.

5. Beginning next Monday, students and parents will be able to receive daily announcements through their electronic devices. Announcements may be accessed by way of blog, RSS Feed, email or twitter. Please check your student email for more details. Since we will be phasing out 2nd period announcements over the PA, students will be permitted to access their devices during lunch in the commons. Phones may only be checked in the commons during lunch – not in the classrooms, hallways, etc.

6. Attention Cast of Annie – Please make sure you check your online calendars for updates on this week’s rehearsals. Choreography starts tonight.

7. Although the swim teams lost to Division 1 powerhouse Turpin over the weekend there were significant time drops turned in by Luke Porst, Ingrid Mongenas, Maddie Richards, Emmett Saulnier and the fabulous Freshmen: Madison LeMay, Jennifer Saxton, Carly Stelzer, Emma Toman, Kate Uehlin and Gretchen Wittry. Stop by the pool tomorrow night to see our Water Warriors battle CCD and honor our 11 Seniors.

8. Mr. Radloff’s classes are to go to study hall today.
