5. Settle in because the Swim Teams had an amazing weekend. Our Water Warriors competed in the largest swim meet in the nation and came away with some incredible accomplishments. Nate Wagner proved to be the fastest man in the water winning the 100 Free. Sam McManus powered his way to victory in the 50 Breast. Claire Gilmore notched not only a win, but also set a Southwest Classic record with her 100 I.M. Claire was also 2nd in the 50 Fly and 10th in the 50 Free. Claire Mongenas finished 3rd in the 100 Breast, 7th in the 200 Breast and 10th in the 200 I.M. Nate was 3rd in the 200 Free. Connor McManus was 9th in the 50 Fly. The Girls’ relays were awe inspiring. Both the 200 Medley (Maddie Richards, Claire Mongenas, Claire Gilmore, Rebecca Adams) and the 400 Medley (Mackenzie Shelley, Claire Mongenas, Claire Gilmore, Lindsey Serraino) were 9th. Most impressive were the 200 Free (Mackenzie Shelley, Rebecca Adams, Lindsey Serraino, Claire Gilmore) and the 400 Free (Mackenzie Shelley, Claire Mongenas, Lindsey Serraino, Claire Gilmore) that were 2nd. The 400 Free Relay broke the 17 year old school record! Way to represent Warriors and keep it going this weekend against Turpin.
